2/25/2021 Five Wounds of Jesus DevotionLearn more about the Five WoundsCall it inspiration or whatever, but I am listening to that little voice inside - so maybe my Angel is asking me to share this devotion. I am placing myself inside the Five Wounds each night. So, what are the Five Wounds of Jesus? First of all, Jesus was nailed to the cross, so his hands were nailed - left and right - and then his feet were nailed to the cross - left and right foot (probably over each other). Then, there's the wound on Jesus side. This wound was done after Jesus' death. St. Longinus Spear or Lance made the wound of Jesus' side. This was done because Jesus was already dead and his bones were not to broken - to fulfill the prophecy of scripture as well "no bones were to be broken." So, The soldier Longinus struck the side of Christ with the spear/lance and blood and water flowed out of his side! Just meditate on that for a minute! To read more about the lance you can go here: https://ucatholic.com/blog/the-holy-lance-a-lesser-known-relic-of-jesus-christ/ Where is the lance now? Interesting read: https://aleteia.org/2020/01/16/where-is-the-true-holy-lance-which-pierced-the-side-of-christ/ Quoting another article on the Internet about why we should have this devotion to the Holy Wounds: The reason for this devotion was well expressed at a later period in the memorial of the Polish bishops to Clement XIII: “Moreover, the Five Wounds of Christ are honored by a Mass and an Office, and on account of these wounds we venerate also the feet, hands and side of the most loving Redeemer, these parts of Our Lord’s most holy body being held more worthy of a special cult than the others, precisely because they suffered special pains for our salvation, and because they are decorated with these wounds as with an illustrious mark of love. Therefore, with living faith they cannot be looked upon without a special feeling of religion and devotion” (Nilles, “De rat. fest. SS. Cord. Jesu et Mariae”, I, 126). https://societyofignatians.com/who-we-are/ignatian-hallmarks/devotion-five-wounds-christ/history-five-wounds-devotion/ Continuing the above article.... “The Dominican Rosary also helped to promote devotion to the Sacred Wounds, for while the fifty small beads refer to Mary, the five large beads and the corresponding Pater Nosters are intended to honour the Five Wounds of Christ (Beissel, “Verehrung Marias”, I, 525). Again, in some places it was customary to ring a bell at noon on Fridays, to remind the faithful to recite five Paters and Aves in honour of the Holy Wounds. A corona, or rosary, of the Five Wounds was approved by the Holy See on 11 August, 1823, and again in 1851. It consists of five divisions, each composed of five Glories in honour of Christ’s Wounds and one Ave in commemoration of the Sorrowful Mother. The blessing of the beads is reserved to the Passionists. FEAST DAY “The earliest evidence of a feast in honour of the Wounds of Christ comes from the monastery of Fritzlar, Thuringia, where in the fourteenth century a feast was kept on the Friday after the octave of Corpus Christi. .... The Feast of the Five Wounds, celebrated since the Middle Ages at Evora and elsewhere in Portugal on 6 February (at Lisbon on the Friday after Ash-Wednesday) is of historical interest. It commemorates the founding of the Portuguese kingdom in 1139, when, before the battle on the plains of Ourique, Christ appeared to Alfonso Henriquez, promising victory over the Moors and commanding him to insert into the coat of arms of the new kingdom the emblem of the Five Wounds (“Propr. Portugalliae” in Weiss, “Weltgeschichte”, III, 251). This feast is celebrated today in all Portuguese-speaking countries. The Proprium of Venice of 1766, which contains perhaps the earliest series of movable feasts in honour of Christ’s Passion, has the Feast of the Five Wounds on the second Sunday in March; it was granted in 1809 to Leghorn for the Friday after Ash-Wednesday, on which day it is still kept in many dioceses of Tuscany, and elsewhere (Mexico). Since 1831, when the feasts in honour of the Passion were adopted at Rome by the Passionists and the city, this feast was assigned to the Friday after the third Sunday in Lent. The Office is one of those bequeathed to us by the Middle Ages. As this feast is not celebrated in the entire Church the Office and Mass are placed in the appendix of the Breviary and the Missal." societyofignatians.com/who-we-are/ignatian-hallmarks/devotion-five-wounds-christ/history-five-wounds-devotion/ So, I believe that the first Friday after Ash Wednesday maybe when the feast day is in the Latin Tridentine calendar. Since this has already passed, you may want to honor the Five Wounds on the second Sunday in March as another idea. Here is one set of prayers below: THE LITTLE CHAPLET OF THE FIVE WOUNDS OF JESUS CRUCIFIED by St. Alphonsus Liguori I. O my Lord Jesus Christ, I adore the wound in Thy left foot. I thank Thee for having suffered it for me with so much sorrow and with so much love. I compassionate Thy pain, and that of Thine afflicted Mother. And, by the merit of this sacred wound, I pray Thee to grant me the pardon of my sins, of which I repent with all my heart, because they have offended Thine infinite goodness. O sorrowing Mary, pray to Jesus for me. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory, etc. By all the wounds which Thou didst bear With so much love and so much pain, Oh, let a sinner's prayer Thy mercy, Lord, obtain! II. O my Lord Jesus Christ, I adore the wound in Thy right foot. I thank Thee for having suffered it for me with so much sorrow and with so much love. I compassionate Thy pain, and that of Thine afflicted Mother. And, by the merit of this sacred wound, I pray Thee to give me the strength not to fall into mortal sin for the future, but to persevere in Thy grace unto my death. O sorrowing Mary, pray to Jesus for me. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory, etc. By all the wounds which Thou didst bear With so much love and so much pain, Oh, let a sinner's prayer Thy mercy, Lord, obtain! III. O my Lord Jesus Christ, I adore the wound in Thy left hand. I thank Thee for having suffered it for me with so much sorrow and with so much love. I compassionate Thy pain, and that of Thine afflicted Mother. And, by the merit of this sacred wound, I pray Thee to deliver me from Hell, which I have so often deserved, where I could never love Thee more. O sorrowing Mary, pray to Jesus for me. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory, etc. By all the wounds which Thou didst bear With so much love and so much pain, Oh, let a sinner's prayer Thy mercy, Lord, obtain! IV. O my Lord Jesus Christ, I adore the wound in Thy right hand. I thank Thee for having suffered it for me with so much sorrow and with so much love. I compassionate Thy pain, and that of Thy most afflicted Mother. And, by the merit of this sacred wound, I pray Thee to give me the glory of Paradise, where I shall love Thee perfectly, and with all my strength. O sorrowing Mary, pray to Jesus for me. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory, etc. By all the wounds which Thou didst bear With so much love and so much pain, Oh, let a sinner's prayer Thy mercy, Lord, obtain! V. O my Lord Jesus Christ, I adore the wound in Thy side. I thank Thee for having willed, even after Thy death, to suffer this additional injury, without pain indeed, yet with consummate love. I compassionate Thine afflicted Mother, who alone felt all its pain. And, by the merit of this sacred wound, I pray Thee to bestow upon me the gift of holy love for Thee, that so I may ever love Thee in this life, and in the other, face to face, for all eternity, in Paradise. O sorrowing Mary, pray to Jesus for me. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory, etc. By all the wounds which Thou didst bear With so much love and so much pain, Oh, let a sinner's prayer Thy mercy, Lord, obtain! This is our new Catholic Postpartum website. The idea has been in my head for awhile and with all this "covid pandemic" times; many mothers are not getting the help they need especially during postpartum. So, our goal is to offer a support network for mamas! We are pre-launching a zoom call in early March and then hosting the first month free from March 19-April 19th. If you know someone that is due with a baby later on - we will offer the first month free at a later date as well! The subscription service will offer resources, book information that will help mamas postpartum, and much more! We are also offering a St. Zélie Mom Group on Mighty Network location as a private forum to talk on. No worries about being on Facebook (Fakebook). We are not going to use that app. In fact you can download Mighty Network onto your phone too if you like! After the first month free, there are 2 of options for subscribers. We plan to offer monthly zoom calls and weekly topics of discussion. If you feel called to help with this project please contact [email protected] - this email is exclusively for this program only!! We are seeking any expert to give a talk once a month or help with the zoom call. I also may offer some exercise program for mothers as well. So, there maybe something new each month for mamas. I may pre-record some prayers, and things like that as well. I am just coming up with ideas and hope that I'll be able to have some weekly checklists of things for mamas! If you subscribe for plus membership, you will get my book "A Catholic Postpartum" and PDF file of goodies you can print out. The regular membership subscription, we will offer the book "A Catholic Postpartum" for free as well for short time frame - maybe for our first year. So, go to Catholic Postpartum website and enroll for free! https://catholicpostpartum.weebly.com/postpartum-collective.html 2/18/2021 Ignorance is bliss....Ignorance is bliss and wrong to continue...Wow, I have really found some interesting things about "covid" that I need to tell my audience. I feel that if I do not tell you - it would be a sin of omission. But, let me back up a little. Some of you are new to my blog and I want to do a little introduction. I am a mother, author, doula, veil maker! I just recently took the Oath Against Modernism! You might think - why do that? Well, to fight for the truth and also I am joining a network - Christ the King Network and that is one of the requirements to join! I also recently left Fakebook as I call it now - persecuted beyond belief over there. So, I was considering leaving before that and hubby had already left; I guess that was the sign I needed - goodbye! Let the good times roll elsewhere. I started this blog recently, so I am going to be aiming at just continuing with the blog! So, I need to tell the truth about this covid stuff - I am listening right now to a new place where you can find the truth - it is called UGETUBE - www.ugetube.com - Go to front page and listen to the motto of the place. So, there are some videos up that are saying the COVID - TEST is no good. In fact some are claiming that the test is also a type of vaccination - at least they are marking you with some cosmic dust particles - like nanoprobes! Yeah, real sci-fy happening right now. I don't have to watch Stargate-SG1 anymore! Like one doctor says in this video (see link here for full video) - why swab up your nose through your brain barrier - a good swab in the mouth is all they need for a test - they are not doing just a test! They are marking you with dust! I urgently suggest anyone who had not been tested to NOT get tested. If you have been tested, take measures to boost your immune system and stop getting tested. Now, the real vaccine is really bad as well. So, here's another thing more about how the actual test works and why people should refuse it: https://ugetube.com/watch/dr-sherri-tenpenny-explains-how-the-depopulation-covid-vaccines-will-start-working-in-3-6-months_wBaRFnZ2jFkVht6.html Anyway, I need to cover this information and get the word out to as many people possible. So, what do you do? If you are working for someone who insists on you getting tested or vaccinated, etc.? Quit your job and work for yourself. That is my suggestion! If you cannot do that, then give your employer information about the tests and see if he is willing to not let you be tested. I am sure there is some way around this if you really want to continue working. Or you can just move to Mexico! The Dollar Vigilante recommends that. https://dollarvigilante.com/ Anyway, you do not have to believe anything here that I have posted. I ask that you do not unsubscribe just because you didn't like my post. Need more facts? Go to Ugetube - signup - browse through all the videos! Now, that you all think I am a crazy woman - good - let's see how many of you will wake up and know that the Great Reset is mind control, population control, etc. Do not forget to pray your Rosary! By the way, I am not saying don't take precautions - you do what you want. But for me, I ain't wearing a mask to cover my nose because it doesn't do that much good from my reading up on it. I am just suggesting take the time to do your own research, etc. It is better that you inform yourself and do what you feel is best for your family!! 2/4/2021 Wandering Thoughts of Pre-Lent
