About our blog/guidelines |
Welcome to Little Way of Mary...
Welcome, My name is Juliana Larsen and I am the founder of this blog website. I also occasionally write for Catholic365.com and CatholicMom.com. I am also founder of Catholic Doula Program and Parent Classes (see website if you want more info). I decided to start my own blogging site in order to freely write what I desire and to inform other women about the Truth of the Latin Tridentine Mass, Veiling, and other topics of interest. I also am an author and recently wrote a few books about doulas and such. My most recent book "A Catholic Postpartum" is one that I hope mothers will pick up and read for their postpartum time. Please check out "Catholic Postpartum" website (still in process of being made). I plan to cover topics like pregnancy to postpartum on this blog site as well. Our writing or contributor guidelines are below - please contact me to join our contributor list. If you want to advertise on our blog, we will be offering advertising spots in near future - let me know if you would like more information. Please share our blog with other mothers and fathers - we plan to have a once a month dad section. Contact me at the contact page if you wish to contribute - make sure you read guidelines below!
Writing Guidelines for Contributors...Some writing guidelines and picture submission guidelines:
1. Be honest - if you are quoting someone - quote them - give sources for information - you can use whatever format you want for bibliography! 2. Latin Mass info - For our purposes here - SSPX is a valid Mass; FSSP is valid; Novus Ordo for the purpose of this blog it will be considered "valid with liturgical abuses present." Please try to keep positive with articles comparing Latin vs. Novus Ordo. 3. Herbs, Essential oils, etc. are okay to mention as long as the article has "we are not aiming to diagnosis or treat any individual person." 4. Covid controversy - let's keep this to a minimum - if you have researched based articles or videos to share - I will accept them - otherwise - "fake news" is not accepted. Let's be charitable on our postings! 5. Politics - let's keep it to a minimum - don't really see the need to talk about except to remind voters to consider pro-life vs. abortion is a main topic to consider for candidates. We may allow a once a month if something is trending and you would like us to address. For instance: pro-life bills going through Congress, etc. 6. Be polite and nice, charitable as much as possible in articles. Length can be anywhere from 250 words to 1,000! I am grateful for any submissions. I hope to make some categories up as well. 7. Historical articles are welcome! For instance: History of the Latin Mass, History of the Catholic Church, etc. 8. Topic suggestions: Why the Latin Mass? Why Veiling? Pregnancy. Postpartum. Motherhood. Children. Special Needs Children, Little Way of St. Therese, Femininity, Traditional way of living, Holy Hours at Home, etc. 9. Pictures need to have a source - so, please send me a direct link to a picture that way I know where it comes from. Or I can choose a picture from Creative Commons if you don't have one. Try to not submit a huge picture - anyway, let me know if you need any help on this. 10. Want to become a contributor? Go to Contact page. For now, I will plan on weekly content - once we get bigger we hope to do daily. |
